Guidelines for Presentation

Oral Presentation (Tentative)

    • 1. Time allocation
      • - Keynote lecture: 60 minutes including discussion
      • - Invited speakers: 25 minute presentations and 10 minute discussions
        (Bell; 1st (once): 25 min, 2nd (twice): 34 min after the start of the presentation)
      • - Other speakers: 10 minute presentations and 7 minute discussions
        (Bell; 1st (once): 10 min, 2nd (twice): 16 min after the start of the presentation.)
    • 2. Computers
      • - PC and Macintosh are available.
        • - Windows 10 Pro with MS Office 2013
        • - Macintosh OS 10.9.5 (Mac Book Air) with MS Office 2011
      • - Previous versions of MS Offices are compatible.
      • - Please bring a USB flash drive in which your presentation file is stored and ask a staff at the podium to copy your file to the computers in the morning (8:10-8:50) of Sep 20th.
      • - You can also use your own PC if you show videos or utilize special programs. Please, let the staff know about it.

Poster Presentation (Tentative)

    • 1. Poster presentation
      • - Board size: 900 mm W x 2,000 mm H.
      • - A0 size (841 mm x 1189 mm) poster is appropriate.
      • - Poster number cards and pushpins will be provided.
      • - Poster is to be mounted on the evening of Sep 19th or 8:10 a.m. to 8:50 a.m. on Sep 20th at poster presentation venues, Lecture Rooms 2 and 3.
      • - Poster core time: 70 minutes.
    • 2. "Flash talk"
      • - "Flash talk" is a one-minute presentation without discussion time.
      • - Please, depict your presentation summary on a single-page presentation slide as a PDF file (Aspect Ratio 4:3) and send it to the SaSSOH organizing committee by Sep. 5th.
      • - At the beginning of the session, all presenters in the session have to queue up along the side of the lecture hall in order of the presentation numbers.
      • - You can start your flash talk after the chairperson introduces your name and affiliation.
